Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Has Seen Your Second Season Predictions — With Some Good News

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel arrives on the streaming platform soon, and fan speculation has been widespread.

The first season introduces a diverse group of personalities living within the afterlife, sets them at odds accompanied by musical numbers about their clashes, and establishes heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that drive fan obsession.

The community's expectations for the new season differ greatly, but certain themes recur frequently: Will Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with fan service as the main goal," the creator commented earlier this year. "But I believe that me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That could imply fans have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how fast the new season progresses, and how many of what they're waiting for unfolds now.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we receive some really amazing disclosures, some fascinating backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — especially in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a few fans make a bingo card about season 2," she mentions. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've already completed some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on the streaming service on October 29.
